Jelly Bean Quilts was founded by Jamie, a long time sewer, quilter and all-around crafty gal. Jamie has been sewing since she was a little girl in 4-H, guided by a mom with a knack for sewing fabulous Halloween costumes and multiple grandmas who wanted to make sure she could sew (Jamie is from small town Iowa, after all!) Six years ago, Jamie created the very first Jelly Bean Quilt for her 8-month-old jelly bean, Erik. Friends and family saw the quilt,
had to have one for their own little jelly bean, and the rest is history!
After years of specializing in baby clothes quilts, Jamie is also applying her modern design sensibilities into other areas of memory quilt making, such as photo quilts, college/high school t-shirt quilts and memorial quilts made from the clothing of a loved one.
Jelly Bean Quilts is moving! After years of shoveling snow & cabin fever, Jamie & family have decided to head for Arizona! We'll be calling Anthem, AZ home - it's a master-planned community with a small-town feel designed for families, located about 20 minutes north of Phoenix. Surrounded by mountains, with miles of trails & desert washes running through the community & a huge community center/playground/water park in the middle of town, it is gorgeous!
