This is the best thing I could have ever imagined doing with my sons baby clothes. She did a wonderful job on the quilt and was very easy to work with. If you have your little ones old clothes in a box in the closet - I would encourage you to look into having them made into a quilt. I know both my son and I will cherish this quilt for many, many years. I couldn't be happier!!!!

Photo Quilts

What are Photo Memory Quilts?

Photo memory quilts are a unique way to preserve and display your cherished photos. Using a product that allows us to print color or black and white pictures directly onto white cotton fabric, we are able to sew pictures into the top of a memory quilt. You can choose to combine pictures with a variety of cotton fabrics, or you can create your memory quilt from both photos and clothing.

What does the customer need to provide?

You simply provide digital images*, and clothing if you have ordered a combination quilt. We design a custom quilt top, digitally enhance the pictures and print them onto fabric, cut and piece the top out of the pictures and either cotton fabric or clothing (using solid fabric for filler if needed), attach a backing using machine quilting, and bind it with a coordinating fabric. The price of the quilt covers all materials.

*If you have pictures you would like me to scan, I am happy to do so, but there is an extra fee.

How many pictures does the customer need to provide?

It is completely up to you! All the photo quilts I design are one-of-a-kind, so I can incorporate virtually any number of pictures.

How is the fabric chosen?

Typically, we consult with the customer via email regarding what colors and fabrics they are looking for. Favorite colors, colors to match a room, and colors based on a theme-- we are open to pretty much anything that's available at the fabric store! If you would like to provide your own fabric for the top, backing, binding or all three, feel free-- the materials cost of your quilt will be reduced accordingly.

How much does it cost?

Because each photo quilt is unique, please email me the quilt size and approximate number of pictures you would like to include, and I will provide you with a quote.

How long will it take?

My typical turn around time is 8 weeks from the time I receive your materials. I can almost always accommodate rush orders. I am busiest in November-December (holiday rush), and May-July (post-spring-cleaning rush!) Do you have samples of your photo quilts?

I do, but I don't have them posted simply to maintain the privacy of my clients. I am happy to send you pictures of my work via email; please contact me.  When I get some free time (haha) I am looking forward to creating a photo quilt for my own family that I will gladly post pictures of!  :)
